– Eine grafische Stadtrundfahrt durch Hamburg.

Wie selbstverständlich nehmen wir Grafikdesign auf? Was nehmen wir bewusst
wahr? Was wurde schon so häufig zitiert, dass man sich gar nicht mehr an
die grafische Grundidee erinnert? Und außerdem: Wer gestaltet eigentlich
unsere grafische Umgebung? Was machen diese halbversteckten
Zweidimensionenbastler, die sich Grafikdesigner nennen? Dies hat sich das
DATE-THE-MUSEUM-Team gefragt und die Grafikdesigner Carolin Rauen und
Martin Schwatlo eingeladen. Die beiden machten sich auf eine Stadtrundfahrt
durch Hamburg und fotografierten, inspiriert durch die unterschiedlichen
kulturellen und wirtschaftlichen Schwerpunkte der einzelnen Stadtteile, was
für sie herausragendes und auch verwegenes Grafikdesign ist. Ihre
Bilder-Stadtrundfahrt am 10. Dezember im Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe führt
uns zu typischen Beispielen aus den bekannten Stadtteilen wie St. Pauli und
Schanze und auch zu klassischen und ungewöhnlichen Vorbildern vom
Ohlsdorfer Friedhof oder dem multikulturellen St. Georg.

I can relate to this - I hadn’t had a weekend for nearly 3 weeks now. And my girlfriend is doing her final thesis. She actually works exactly like the model in the pic above! Well done!

Second that! Just built a small tabletop studio environment at home and which leads me to build all graphic and coding stuff in my office 20min. away since my desk now operates as photo studio prop. I’d never thought I’d feel that naked without a desk…

jarredbishop: My idea of a holiday would be taking some time off to build a desk like this.

…but I’m just listening to NIN’s the slip and I can’t believe the insane quality. Watching the videos I always assumed that a lot of sound engineering would get left behind. But the MP3s (the lowest quality files made available) do carry a lot of what NIN really sounds like.

Wow, last time I went for a run was almost a month ago. Building up stamina again from the ground up just feels f##d up. I had my 5k going, I had my 10k going on - and it’s all lost.
